As of April 8th, T.J. Kranich will be taking over the assigning for MCLRASL. MidCo. LakeRidge Adult CoEd Soccer League is a sanctioned league and will be run by USSF/FIFA Rules with modifications. Please read the Rules & Procedures below to enforce these modifications. ALL GAMES will be a 3-man system (NO DUAL SYSTEM). If an AR(s) is missing, you will incorporate Club Lines (who DO NOT call Offside, ONLY ball in/out).
Rosters have to be final after week #3. After that time there will be no more players added to the league. Players must have a valid pass or a picture i.d. to match their name on the roster for the first three weeks. After week #3 you will have the alphabetical list with all players and they must have a pass in order to play. The Hellwig #11 field is at the bottom of the hill on the right side this year. PLEASE CHECK YOUR FIELD ASSIGNMENT for some games will be played on the front field #2.
Teams must have numbered roster, MDCVSA formal roster that matches numbered roster, and player passes. REMEMBER, NO CARD, NO PLAY!! All players must have valid Player Cards.
NO JEWELRY!! Some refs are not checking for the removal of all jewelry. TAPE OVER IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!
Review the GAME PROCEDURES on times and substitutions. KEEP GAMES ON SCHEDULE! If time is lost due to waiting on team(s) to show, divide the time lost into 2 equal periods. We can then add on time for injuries, sanctions, etc.Call me if you have Turn-backs :( or questions :). 703-794-9392
The MCLASL Board still wants a sit out period for a yellow carded player. It is only 5 minutes rather than the 10 minutes. We will keep substitutions the same; goal kicks, after a goal, at half time and throw ins (both teams can sub if the team in possession is subbing)The pay structure was increased to $55/$35/$35 and $70 for solo CR. Payday will be bimonthly to those who have submitted Game Reports (CR submits Only). Because this league is now sanctioned, games can be used towards"game count", Assessments for upgrading to Grade 7, and Maintenance Assessments for Grade 7. I am an advocate of getting our younger refs (18-25) upgrading so as to advance to State and National levels. It has been proven that if the level of referee ability increase, so does the level of play of the leagues.

PLAYOFF RULES as of Sept., '06. If there is a tie after 90 mins. of play, then there will be a 10 minute golden goal over time period and then, if still tied, it goes to penalty kicks alternating male/female.
There may be several assessments during those weeks. Please be on time and get the games started on time.

Take exit 44 Route 234 Bypass West towards Manassas.
Take Route 234 Bypass for approximately 13.8 miles.
Take right at light when you see signs for Route 619/646 (You will also see a sign for Independent Hill School Annex)
Go 0.3 miles and take a right onto West 619 (Bristow Road)

Turn LEFT (South-East) onto SR-619 [Bristow Rd] for 1.5 mi Bear RIGHT (South) onto Valley View Dr for 1.3 mi
Valley View Park will be on the right hand side after the golf course.

From George Hellwig Memorial Park
Turn LEFT (West) onto SR-619 [Bristow Rd] for 7.5 mi
Turn LEFT (South) onto Valley View Drive 1.3 mi
Valley View Park entrance is on the right hand side after the golf course, follow road back to soccer fields.
If you miss the turn for Valley View Drive off of Route 619 you will reach Route 28, please turn around
